发明名称 EVALUATION OF NON-LINEAR MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable evaluation of time response characteristic as well as non- linearity of non-linear material, by projecting light to a sample from a pulse light source with the wavelength larger than that at the absorption end of the sample through a filter which transmits only light required for the excitation of the sample. CONSTITUTION:After changed in the direction of traveling with a hot filter 2, light from a glass laser 1 oscillating with the wavelength larger than that at the absorption end of non-linear material is made to pass through an infrared ray transmitting filter 3 and focused with a lens 4 to irradiate a non-linear sample 5 arranged on a glass plate 6. Light generated from the sample 5 thus excited is collected with a lens 7 to a slit of a spectroscope 8. A specified high harmonic component out of an output of the spectroscope 8, is made incident into a photoelectric cathode of a streak camera 9. Since a signal appears at the position corresponding to the wavelength of the specified high harmonic component on the surface of a monitor tube of the camera 9, the linearity of the sample 5 can be determined by measuring the intensity and continuation time thereof.
