For the purpose of increasing the safety when using the wood-sawing trestle, the trestle is provided with a displaceable scissor-leg pair (3) arranged between two of three fixed scissor-leg pairs (2 and 4). In addition, fixing means are provided in order to firmly mount on the wood-sawing trestle the piece of wood or bundle of branches to be sawn. These fixing means consist of a spring (17), connected on one side to a round steel bar (11) and having a key (18), and a toothed rack (16) acting as a catch for the spring (17) stretched over the wooden material to be sawn. The displaceability of the one centre scissor-leg pair (3a) permits optimum adaptation of the wood-sawing trestle to the length of wood to be sawn, and the fixing means permit firm mounting of the wood on the wood-sawing trestle, which helps considerably to increase on-the-job safety. <IMAGE>
