PURPOSE: To provide an image processing device capable of surely sampling a specific pattern even when a thin line exists in the periphery of the specific pattern. CONSTITUTION: Density data of R, G and B are sent to each thin line processing part 11, and the processing part 11 counts how many picture elements whose center consists of density values within fixed margin width for a density value A exist in neighboring eight picture elements, and judges that it is the thin line when three or less picture elements exist, and outputs a decision flag 0. The decision flag is sent to an AND circuit 12, and the output of the circuit is supplied to the B input of a gate circuit 13. Each density data is outputted as it is from the thin line processing part 11 in spite of a judged result, and supplied to the A input of the gate circuit. Therefore, when it is judged that the picture element is the thin line. the B input goes to zero. and the output of the gate circuit goes to (00) (white), then, the thin line is eliminated. |
