29,337 META- AND PARA-ISOPROPENYL-?,?-DIMETHYLBENZYLAMINE Meta- and para-compounds of the formula: <IMG> are disclosed, together with acid salts thereof. These monoene-amine compounds may be made by acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of the corresponding monoene-isocyanate compounds, followed by reaction with a strong base to form the free amine. Also disclosed are poly(m- or p-isopropenyl-?,?-dimethylbenzylamine) and copolymers of m- or p-isopropenyl-?,?-dimethylbenzylamine.
