CONSTITUTION:When a speech input button 10 is pushed, the signal is transmitted from a remote control part 2 to the reception part 6, the speech recognition part 3 and the muting part 7 of a television main body 1 through an input instruction signal transmission part 11. Receiving the signal, the speech recognition part 3 becomes in a mode where the speech recognition is possible. At the same time the muting part 7 mutes a sound signal. Next, if the operator utters a channel number, the speech is inputted in a microphone 8 and transmitted to the speech recognition part 3 through a sound signal transmission part 9 and a sound signal reception part 4. Recognizing the inputted speech, the speech recognition part 3 transmits the channel number to a channel control part 5 so as to switch a channel. The speech recognition part 3, at the same time, transmits a recognizing process completion signal to the muting part 7 and automatically cancel the muting, so that the speech from a new channel can be heard. |
