Owing to opacification of the panes as a result of the occurrence of leakages, the known laminated insulating glass has only a limited service life. Flushing in order to clean the pane interspace has proved to be costly and also, in the end, not a permanently effective measure. The object of the invention is thus to provide laminated insulating glass of the abovementioned type which does not have a service life, as is the case with the known laminated insulating glass, which is limited to 10 or, at most, 30 years, that is to say does not necessitate a costly exchange, because opacification of the pane surface is eliminated, and, on the other hand, risky flushing procedures of the pane interspace are avoided. The object is achieved in that the pane interspace (1), at at least one lower corner of the spacer profile (2), is permanently connected, by means of a ventilating chamber (6), to the outer atmosphere, to which the laminated insulating glass is exposed, and through which, in the lower pane corner, air enters into the pane interspace, rises, due to natural convection, within the pane interspace and leaves the pane interspace again in the upper corner. <IMAGE>
