PROCESS FOR THE HYDROISOMERIZATION OF PETROLEUM WAXES Process for the hydroisomerization of petroleum waxes by contacting said waxes with hydrogen at hydroisomerization conditions using a catalyst comprising at least one hydrogenating metal or compound thereof present on at least one refractory oxide which has been treated with from 0.1 to 30 %w, calculated on refractory oxide, of at least one reactive metal compound of Group 2a, 3a, 4a and/or 4b of the Periodic Table of the Elements.
