ROAD FOR SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC LEVITATION BODY

PURPOSE: To impart levitation force to a superconducting magnetic levitation body by stacking on a base course a magnetic cement concrete layer whose magnetic polarities are aligned so as to have the same polarity as the magnetic polarity of the road side of the levitation body. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnet (a) comprising a superconducting coil is mounted on a superconducting magnetic levitation body A and the bottom face of the levitation body is determined to assume an N-pole. A magnetic cement concrete layer 2 is stacked on a base course 1, with N-poles arranged to appear on the front of the layer 2 so that its magnetic characteristic produces magnetic repulsive force between itself and the superconducting magnetic levitation body A. Levitation force derived from the magnetic repulsive force can thus be imparted to the levitation body A, whereby the levitation body A can be freely levitated for travel in the same manner as on automotive roads.
