A compound of the formula <CHEM> or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in which formula: R<1> is a pyridyl group; R<2> is substituted or unsubstituted phenyl wherein the substituent is a halogen atom; R<3> is a lower alkyl group; and L is a phenyl lower alkyl group; a pyrazolyl lower alkyl group; a (4,5-di-hydro-5-oxo-1H-tetrazolyl) lower alkyl group or a (4-lower alkyl, 4,5-dihydro-5-oxo-1H-tetrazol) lower alkyl group is useful as an analgesic or anaesthetic.
