PURPOSE: To average the driving force for a smooth travel by providing a control system controlling the power feed quantity to a motor so that the motor outputs the auxiliary driving force, and delayinbg the auxiliary driving force outputted from the motor later than the main driving force. CONSTITUTION: When the pedals of an electric bicycle are depressed by a user, the leg power is transmitted to a drive wheel 2 via a chain. A microcomputer 17 amplifies the output signal (a) of a leg power sensor 11c and the output signal (b) of a current sensor 22 respectively, calculates the main driving force and auxiliary driving force, changes the duty ratio of a switching element 21 based on the difference between them, and controls the output of a motor to keep the ratio between the main driving force and auxiliary driving force constant. The microcomputer 17 controls the motor so that the auxiliary driving force is outputted later than the main driving force to make the travel of the electric bicycle smooth. |
