PURPOSE:To obtain the electrostatic charge image toner from which fine powder is well removed and which has good economical efficiency by mixing the classified powder obtd. by classifying colored resin powder and removing the fine powder therefrom and fine powder of silica, then providing a 2nd classifying stage for removing the fine powder from this powder mixture. CONSTITUTION:The molten and kneaded matter having at least a binder resin and coloring material is cooled and ground and the fine powder below the prescribed grain size is removed therefrom by the 1st classification. The coarse powder larger than the prescribed grain size is removed therefrom at need to adjust the powder to the desired grain size. The fine powder of silica and other additives are added at need to the powder after the 1st classification and after the mixture is dispersed and mixed by a mixing machine having a sufficient dispersing power, the fine powder is further removed by the 2nd classification. The removal of the fine particles is effectively executed in this way and the economical toner is obtd. |
