PURPOSE:To carry out the processing corresponding to the selection of menus via a control part even with no operation of an operator by taking the information on a menu request instruction and a menu item to be selected out of a program stored in a program storage part and outputting the obtained information to a menu selection part for generation of a menu request event. CONSTITUTION:The information on a menu request instruction and a menu item to be selected is taken out of a program stored in a program storage part 103. Thus an event generating part 104 generates a menu request event and outputs the information on the menu to be selected. Then a control part 106 starts a menu selection part 105. The part 105 selects a menu item accordant with the information on the menu item to be selected out of those menu items stored in the part 103 and then outputs the information which specifies the selected menu item. Thus the part 106 can carry out the corresponding processing in accordance with the information that specifies a menu item.
