<p>PURPOSE: To reduce noise mounted on a muse signal by fixing in the maximum noise reduction value in the case of a stop picture, and adding a motion detecting signal for luminance and performing noise reduction from a noise level having a fixed value or more. CONSTITUTION: A NOR gate 31 receives the motion detecting signal for luminance (f) and performs NOR gating operation. As the result of the logic, the output signal of the NOR gate 31 is impressed to OR gates 32 and 33 respectively. In the case where this applying signal is a stop picture, i.e., all the 4 bits of the signal (f) is 0, an input to a memory part 30, i.e., all the least significant address bits becomes 0. As a result, the output level of the memory part 30 becomes 11 irrespective of an automatic/manual selection signal (c), a nonlinear edge signal (d) and a noise level detection signal (e) or the like. Thus, a current frame value changing part 40 properly changes the value at the output timing of the current two frames according to a subsample phase, and reduces noise at maximum.</p> |
