<p>PURPOSE:To realize a relatively low-speed or -density image recording using a high output-type recording head by providing such a drive control means as an enable signal generation part which drives image forming elements two or more predetermined times during a recording period in accordance with image data for one line. CONSTITUTION:In drive circuits 2-1-2-4, AND gates 23-1-23-n are opened when an enabling signal EN turns to L level, and image data held in a latch circuit 22 are supplied to switch amplifiers 24-1-24-n. Therefore, the amplifiers 24-1-24-n are turned ON/OFF in accordance with the image data, and LEDs D-1-D-n are selectively electrically conducted. In each of the circuits 2-1-2-4, based on the image data for one line, the LEDs D-1-D-n in each of LED groups 1-1-1-4 are driven four times during one line recording period. Namely, one line recording is conducted by lighting the LEDs four times. Therefore, a light emission interval of the LED is shortened, a variation in partial exposure amount on a photosensitive drum is reduced, and a variation in partial density in a solid black image is reduced.</p> |
