PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always display a stereoscopic video in the middle of image pickup, so that the stereoscopic effect of a video can be adjusted while performing an image pickup, and to possess interchangeability with a two-dimensional video. SOLUTION: At a signal converter 36, a control signal for writing and a control signal for reading transmitted from a CPU 37 are always deviated by the one period of a two-dimensional video signal equivalent to the video for the one screen of a stereoscopic display 39, and the control signal for reading is simultaneously given to FIFOs 34a and 34b, so that a right side video signal or a left side video signal in the FIFOs 34a and 34b is alternately read at a twice speed as high as the speed for writing the two dimensional video signal, and processing is successively performed without the occurrence of frame missing in the case of the image pickup. By the processing, the converter 36 generates a stereoscopic video signal having the same size as that of either one of the right side video signal or the left side video signal. |
