PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. a coupler having superior color forming property even in the case of a small amt. of oil, having low dependency of its hue on concn. and excellent in stability to reduction with ferrous ions by incorporating a specified coupler into a layer on a substrate. SOLUTION: A coupler represented by the formula is incorporated into at least one layer on a substrate. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's substituent constantσp of 0.2-1.0, R3 is -NHCOR31 (R31 is H, an aliphatic group, etc.), -NHSO2 R32 (R32 is an aliphatic group, aryl or a heterocyclic group), -CONHR33 (R33 is H, an aliphatic group, etc.) or -SO2 NHR33 , (m) is an integer of 2-5, plural R3 's may be different from each other, R4 is a substituent, (n) is an integer of 0 to 5-m and X is H or a group releasable by coupling with the oxidized body of a color developing agent.
