PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform good reproduction even for a recording medium having different reflectance. SOLUTION: An optical disk 1 is irradiated with, for example, a laser beam from a pickup device 2, reflected light from this optical disk 1 is detected by the pickup device 2 and information is reproduced. A detected signal from this pickup device 2 is supplied to a RF amplifier 4 through an APC circuit 3. Also, a signal from the APC circuit 3 is fed back to the pickup device 2 and irradiation output of the laser beam is controlled. Further, a signal from the RF amplifier 4 is supplied to a discrimination circuit 10 of CD/CD-RW, and a discrimination signal from this discrimination circuit 10 is supplied to a microcomputer 7 for system control. And a control signal from this microcomputer 7 is supplied to the APC circuit 3, and irradiation output of the laser beam with which the optical disk 1 is irradiated from the pickup device 2 is controlled. |
