PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing line for fly line whose diameter is tapered in the longitudinal direction and which is excellent in wear resistance, has adequate tenacity and strength, has so-called high physical functionality and a beautiful surface. SOLUTION: The core line 1 is a filament yarn made of single or plural synthetic or metallic fiber(s). Plural coating layers 2 to 4 obtained by braiding plural filament yarns of synthetic fiber are provided on the core line 1 in the longitudinal direction. Plural coating layers 2 to 4 for fishing line that are cut into arbitrary lengths are moved in the longitudinal direction of the fishing line one after another from the outer layer in such a manner that, at one end in the longitudinal direction, there are provided all of the coating layers 2 to 4. It is so structured that the line diameter is gradually decreased at every arbitrary length. At portions where the line diameter changes, the gap between the coating layers 2 to 4 located on the outer side and the core line 1 located on the inner side are fixedly bonded by means of an adhesive. |
