A fastener device (8) for vehicle-mounted load-carriers to grip a preferably rod-like object to be fastened (9), such as a tubular metal frame of a bicycle (2) supported by the load-carrier, and comprising a support (11) to be applied against the object to be fastened from one side thereof, and a yoke element to be applied from the opposite side of said object, and means to urge said yoke element in the direction towards the support to clamp said tubular metal frame or the like between the support and the yoke element. In accordance with the invention, the yoke element is in the shape of a yoke straddling the object (9) to be fastened in an active condition, and gripping means (22, 23; 21, 28) releasable at least at one side of the object to be fastened (9) are provided to keep the yoke element (12) and the support (11) together on both sides of the object (9) to be fastened in the object-abutting relationship, tightening means (33, 37) additionally being provided to press the support and the yoke element under force-transmission ratio conditions against the object to be fastened in the activated position of the gripping means. |
