Direct injection of fuel to internal combustion engine

The fuel injection system has a high pressure pump (18) drawing fuel from the fuel tank. The pump is driven by an electric motor (24). The pump delivers a flow that increases with increase in speed of the electric motor. The pump supplies an injector bar (16) fitted with a pressure transducer (30) that delivers a signal that is used to regulate (12) the speed of the electric motor driving the pump.
