Definition of a true or false values to Boolean option variable in a computer spreadsheet, which are then used to control the contents of a range of cells within the spreadsheet. For each cell a one or more Boolean variables are assigned. Then for each cell the value of the Boolean variables within the cells are set according to the value of the Boolean option variable. If the value is false then the cell values take a default value, while if true then the variables take a delta value. Each Boolean variable in the cells is controlled by the first or second Boolean option value and for each cell in the considered range a delta value is calculated. Independent claims are included for (1) a system for assigning values in computer spreadsheets. (2) a computer program for assigning values in computer spreadsheets.
