The device is for preparing an extract with a foam layer and is at least provided with a container with an inner space for the extract, an upright side wall and an outflow aperture for emission of the formed extract. Water under pressure is fed to the upper side of the container for forming the extraction. The container during use contains a lower filter and an upper filter, each comprises an outer edge of washable rigid material and an inner part of washable material with small holes. The material to be extracted is accommodated between the two filters. At least one of both filters is made of plastic, metal, wood, stone, ceramic, cotton and paper, either as single materials or in combination.
