The invention relates to a method for producing polyvinyl acetals that is characterized in that at least one polymer (A), which contains: a) 1.0 to 99.9 % by weight of structural units of formula (I); b) 0 to 99.0 % by weight of structural units of formula (II); c) 0 to 70.0 % by weight of structural units of formula (III), each with regard to the total weight of polymer (A), is reacted with at least one compound (B) of formula (IV), and with at least one monosaccharide, at least one oligosaccharide, at least one polysaccharide or with a mixture consisting of at least two of these constituents. The monosaccharide, oligosaccharide, polysaccharide or the mixture contains, each time with regard to its or their total weight, at least 20 % by weight of glucose and/or glucose units, and radicals R<1> to R<8> are defined according to the description. The invention also relates to the polyvinyl acetals that can be obtained by using this method, and to the use of these polyvinyl acetals. |
