PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize movement of a plurality of secondary coated optical fiber ribons held in the slots of a slotted rod in a slot type optical fiber cable. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 holds one or more secondary coated optical fibers 11 in each slot groove 7 arranged in the outer peripheral surface along the longitudinal direction, and is also covered with a sheath resin on the outer periphery of the slotted rod 5. Moreover, the inner surfaces of the slot groove 7 are coated with a frictional force adjusting resin for adjusting the frictional force between the secondary coated optical fibers 11 and the slot groove 7. Therefore, the holding force of the secondary coated optical fibers 11 held in each slot groove 7 is optimized by the proper frictional force of the frictional force adjusting resin.
