PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan mail transmitting system for which a mail account for the system is not required to be prepared. SOLUTION: The scan mail transmitting system is configured as a system comprising a digital composite machine 10 having a function of scanning an original set in its own apparatus to generate image data and transmitting the image data to a scan agent computer 50, and the scan agent computer 50 having a function of transmitting an E-mail (scan mail) added with a file of the image data transmitted from the machine 10. In the system, the transmission of the scan mail is performed by the computer 50 by utilizing a mail account acquired by the user of the machine 10 from an ISP or the like.
