PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover the surface of a plug receptacle so as to enable insertion and pulling out of an inserting plug in order to prevent happening of a tracking phenomenon by dust and dirt adhering and depositing between the plug receptacle and the inserting plug plugged in there. SOLUTION: A plug insertion and penetration port 62 which bends by the insertion action of an inserting plug B and has numerous contact pieces 63 is formed at the front part 61a with a prescribed spacing with the plug plugging-in ports P1, P2 of a cover 61 covering the exposed surface of an outlet A. When the inserting plug is plugged in the plug plugging-in port P1, P2 through the plug insertion and penetration port 62, the contact pieces 63 corresponding to the locations of the plug plugging-in ports P1, P2 and the shape and dimension of the inserting plug B are bent and let the inserting plug B pass and contact the side face of the plug inserted. The numerous contact pieces 63 can be formed in one body with the cover 61. Then, a common plug receptacle cover can be applied regardless of the number of the plugging-in ports, shape of pulling-off stopper, and type of grounding electrode attached or the like.
