PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deposition or accumulation of carbonized compounds such as unburnt fuel and deposits adhered to a fluid passage part such as a nozzle hole part through which fluid such as fuel for an internal combustion engine passes or a sliding part such as a valve part. SOLUTION: A cleaning device is used for an internal combustion engine 100, which has a combustion chamber 106 in a cylinder, a fuel injection valve 2 injecting and supplying the fuel into the combustion chamber 106, and an ignition device 105 for igniting the fuel, and in which combustible air-fuel mixture or the fuel is ignited by the ignition device 105. The cleaning device has a laser irradiation device 3 emitting a laser light, and the laser irradiation device 3 is arranged to emit the laser light toward a tip part, injecting the fuel, of the fuel injection valve 2.
