PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized blower without increase in noise or degradation in blowing efficiency. SOLUTION: The blower comprises: a spiral casing 2 having an approximately circular suction port 2a formed in at least one side face, and an approximately rectangle discharge port 2b formed in a front face; and a blower fan 1 disposed to an air passage connecting the suction port 2a with the discharge port 2b. The width of the casing 2 is sequentially increased from the suction port 2a up to an arbitrary position along a flow direction of air, and is constant from the arbitrary position to the discharge port 2b. An inclined face 2d is formed to gradually increase the width of the casing 2 from both ends of a nose part 2c starting spiral of the casing 2 to both ends of the discharge port 2b. The inclined face 2d reduces a windless area in the casing 2 and thereby to reduce the noise and improve the blowing efficiency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
