A method for antenatal prognostication of the fetus intrauterine infection in pregnant women with herpetic and cytomegalovirus infections is carried out by the analysis of traditional ultrasonic research results of the state of fetoplacental complex. Obstetrical history, pregnancy course, presence of accompanying diseases and pathological states during a gestational period, results of laboratory inspection of pregnant, that testify about herpetic infections duration, and its activity at a system and local levels, are additionally analysed. From the analysed indices the most meaningful prognostic signs of fetus intrauterine infection are determined, according to which a prognostic chart is made. The index of probability of fetus intrauterine infection is determined by a Bayes' formula. Depending on the value of this index the pregnant is classified to the corresponding group: group of favorable prognosis with low probability of fetus intrauterine infection (index Rpr <0.25), group of unfavorable prognosis with high probability of fetus intrauterine infection (index Rpr >0.75), group with an indefinite prognosis in relation to fetus intrauterine infection that requires the additional inspection (indices Rpr in the range of from 0.25 to 0.75).
