INSPECTION METHOD FOR BONDED CERAMIC

PURPOSE: To provide a method for inspecting the bonding state at the interface of a porous ceramic and a compact ceramic. CONSTITUTION: Ultrasonic wave is injected from the compact ceramic side 15 toward the porous ceramic 16 side ad shown by an arrow B. Bonding state at each interface is inspected by detecting the reflected wave at the interfaces 18A, 18B, 18C and 18D between the compact ceramic 15 and the porous ceramic 16. Intensity of wave reflected from the vicinity of each interface is preferably measured with the relative density being set at 90% or above for the compact ceramic 15 and in the range of 85-50% for the porous ceramic 16. The porous ceramic 16 may be the electrode for solid electrolytic fuel cell land the compact ceramic 15 may be the separator.
