PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND GLASS PLATE OF IT

A plasma display panel and a glass substrate of the same are provided to absorb partially light and to enhance optical efficiency and light room contrast by causing photochemical reaction of photochromic particles. A plasma display panel includes a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel includes a front glass(70) having photochromic particles(200'). The rear panel is attached to the front panel through a barrier rib. Each of the photochromic particles has a size of 80 to 150 angstrom. The photochromic particles are composed of one of Ag, Cu, Mg, Zn, and Cd. The plasma display panel is characterized in that the front glass is discolored by causing photochemical reaction of the photochromic particles while the visible light is irradiated on the front glass.
