<p>PURPOSE: To attain compression with a higher efficiency in the image pickup device provided with a means compressing and coding video information through the use of inter-frame correlation. CONSTITUTION: A means comprising a sensor 3, a control circuit 4 and a drive circuit 401 to correct a shake of a frame resulting from a shape of the image pickup device is added to the image pickup device. Since a shake vector is set almost to zero, the retrieval range of a motion vector is suppressed. Moreover, the shake correction means suppresses the reduction in the correlation due to a shake of the image pickup device. Since a compression efficiency of a means for compression and coding by using the inter-frame correlation is proportional to the degree of the inter-frame correlation, the compression with a high efficiency is attained.</p> |
