PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass having a large thermal expansion coefficient at a low temperature, capable of easily obtaining a clean surface without defects such as scratches by cleaning with an acidic cleaning solution and the like, and capable of easily manufacturing on a large scale at a low price. SOLUTION: An aluminosilicate glass article containing Li<SB>2</SB>O is characterized in that: the rate of solution defined by an etching rate when immersing in a hydrofluoric acid aqueous solution of 0.1 mass% at 50°C is 30-60 nm/min; the average thermal expansion coefficient at -50 to 70°C is not less than 70×10<SP>-7</SP>/°C; the relation between a working temperature T<SB>4</SB>°C and a liquid phase temperature T<SB>L</SB>°C is T<SB>4</SB>-T<SB>L</SB>≥-100°C; and the composition expressed by mol% is 60-70 of SiO<SB>2</SB>, 4-15 of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 5-15 of Li<SB>2</SB>O, 8-20 of Na<SB>2</SB>O, 0-2 of K<SB>2</SB>O, 0.1-5 of MgO, 1-8 of CaO, 0-3 of SrO, 0-2 of BaO, 0-3 of TiO<SB>2</SB>, 0-3 of ZrO<SB>2</SB>, 18-35 of R<SB>2</SB>O(=Li<SB>2</SB>O+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O), 1.5-10 of RO(=MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO), and 0-3 of others.
