摘要 A cupper coated welding wire is provided to have the excellent feedability and the conducting ability as a cupric oxide thickening layer is thin and the slipperiness is excellent. A cupper coated welding wire comprises a copper electroplating layer(20) of the depth of 100nm or 2000nm on the surface of steel material(10). The wire surface cupper and the concentration of the cupric oxide are measured with an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The depth of a cupric oxide thickening layer is less than 10nm from the wire surface when a surface layer part of 6% or greater cupric oxide rate is defined as the cupric oxide thickening layer. The surface of the metal welding wire is made of the material selected from a group consisting of MoS2, WS2, znS, graphite and BN more than the first class.
