Disclosed is an expansion joint device for a bridge having a cross or orthogonal connection structure. The expansion joint device includes: a pair of vertical members; a pair of finger members integrated by being combined separately with the upper surfaces of the vertical members; and a waterproof member formed of rubber materials, and of which both ends are combined with the opposite surfaces of the vertical members or vulcanized with the opposite surfaces of the vertical members. Since predetermined positions of a vertical member and a finger member, selected from the vertical members and the finger members, or both of the vertical members and the finger members are cut to become first and second vertical members and first and second finger members. An end part of the expansion joint device, connected to be crossed or orthogonal between the first and second vertical members and the first and second finger members, is connected and combined by a combination unit including a combination bolt. Therefore, the present invention is capable of closely combining connection parts as well as easily connecting the expansion joint device in a cross or orthogonal direction without an extra coupler by using a combination unit of the expansion joint device when a new bridge is constructed in a widthwise direction of an old bridge or a bridge is expanded in a widthwise direction. |
