DESULFURIZATION APPARATUS AND THE METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a desulfurization apparatus and a method thereof, wherein the method comprises the following processes of: inserting molten iron into a container; inserting a desulfurizing agent into a tube provided in an upper portion of the container; dropping the tube to immerse at least a portion of the tube in the molten iron; and inputting desulfurizing agent gas generated by melting and evaporating the desulfurizing agent with heat of the molten iron into the molten iron to remove a sulfur component contained in the molten iron, moving the tube in a vertical direction while removing the sulfur component, and relatively moving the tube and the container in a horizontal direction. Moreover, desulfurization treatment of molten iron manufactured by using a low grade iron source containing a great amount of impurities can be easily performed.
