A magnetic head comprises a non-magnetic body 12 including at one end a shelf portion 14 containing two longitudinal slots 18 in which are disposed spacers 20 (either two separate members or the limbs of a single sheet folded in a U-shape, Figs. 3 to 5) having a plurality of transverse slits (24, Fig. 2, or 44, Figs. 4 and 5) in which are located a plurality of magnetic cores 26, with an end plate 34 secured to the body 12 and containing a longitudinal notch 36 in which is disposed a compressible flexible member 38 which holds the cores 26 against a wall 40 of the body 12. |
