Instrument to measure the stage of cooking of pasta, which can be associated with a container such as a saucepan to cook foodstuffs in liquid such as water, milk, broth, etc., the instrument comprising gripper means (112) equipped with elastic squeezer means (12) associated at the lower part with supporting means (11), the elastic squeezer means (12) comprising at least an elastically movable element and a stationary element (12a, 12b), a sample (30) of the pasta to be cooked being held between the elastic squeezer means (12), the elastic squeezer means (12) being immersed, at the same time as the pasta is immersed, into the cooking liquid with the sample (30) elastically held therebetween, the elastic squeezer means (12) monitoring the progressive squeezing of the sample of pasta (30) as cooking progresses and transmitting the findings to transducer means to monitor and signal to the user that the pasta has reached a desired and pre-defined stage of cooking. |
