The invention relates to a cladded tube or tube part, in particular a thin-walled tube such as a spiral tube 1 or similar, consisting of an inner tube body 3 known per se as well as a cladded coating 5 surrounding the body. The cladded coating consists of an outer tube material 7 being formed of cardboard or similar material essentially resistant to bending, whereby the coating 5 is provided around the tube as a substantially integral piece. The invention further relates to a method for cladding tubes, whereby the coating 5 is formed of insulating material, in particular of a portion of insulating cladding tube formed from paper or cardboard material by cutting, suitably cardboard tube known per se, where the cladding tube 7 is drawn onto the tube body 3 to be cladded. <IMAGE>
