PURPOSE: To use a control sheet with an optional form by forming registration marks having the same shape, the same direction and directivity in a specific direction at four corners of the control sheet. CONSTITUTION: This image recognizing device is provided with an image reading part 1, a control processor part 2, a user interface operation part 3, a communication interface 4, an image memory 5, a recognizing processing part 6, and an output part 7. Registration marks having the same shape, the same direction and directivity in a specific direction are formed at the four corners of the control sheet P2. At the time of segmenting an image area from one corner of a read image, one registration mark is included without fail. Since the registration mark has directivity, e.g. a density difference, in the specific direction correspondingly to the form of the sheet P2, the direction of the form of the sheet P2 can be judged by detecting the density difference of the mark. |
