PURPOSE: To temporarily preserve data at each time of certain input and to continue the input of characters or the like without waiting for the end of this preservation by providing a control means which transfers data in a storage means to a temporary preservation means at the time when the number of times of input of an input means or the stored data volume in the storage means reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION: At the time of key input, its input key code is returned. An input character string is temporarily preserved in an input character string buffer DOC. Then, one is added to a key input counter KBC in a RAM 3. It is checked whether two least significant digits of the key input counter KBC are '0' or not. If they are '0', the temporary preservation processing is executed at each time of key depression. First, data in the input character string buffer DOC is transferred to a preservation character string buffer CDOC and is copied. Next, the temporary preservation processing is started. This processing is started as a parallel processing. In the temporary preservation processing, contents of the preservation character string buffer CDOC are written in an external storage device FDD 9. |
