PURPOSE: To hold the coefficient of friction required for the initial connecting operation of an overrunning clutch up to the high temperature, so as to prevent abrasion of a sliding part by specifying the coefficient of friction of base oil between steels in the normal state and the dropping point of mixed lubricant formed by mixing thickener made of resin or soap to base oil. CONSTITUTION: An overrunning clutch is constituted of a clutch outer 1, a clutch inner 2 arranged coaxial to it, a plurality of rollers 3 arranged in the clearance between the clutch outer and the clutch inner along the circumferential direction, and lubricant filled in the clearance between them. Silicon oil having the coefficient of friction of 0.18 or more is used as base oil between steels in the normal state. Alkyl-di-urea is used as thickener made of resin or soap, and it is mixed into base oil so that a lubricant may obtain the temperature of the dropping point of 260 deg.C or more. As a result, the initial connection of the clutch can be quickly performed within the wide temperature range without generating the considerable slip state. |
