PURPOSE: To attain a smooth and defectless weld zone by preventing blow hole defect and recess defect on a surface in the laser welding of aluminum or aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION: This is a laser welding method for aluminum or aluminum alloy, by which a material 4 to be welded made of aluminum or aluminum alloy is welded by a laser beam 3. The material is continuously irradiated by the laser beam 3, and also welding is performed by relatively moving the material 4 and a position to be irradiated by the laser beam while vibrating the laser beam at a weld point in a vibration direction within ±30 deg. to the vertical direction of a weld line.
