ISOMERISATION CATALYST USING MOLYBDENUM/TUNGSTEN COMPOUNDS

Novel compositions are prepared by impregnating inert supports with H4Mo(CN)8 and/or H4W(CN)8 and subsequently activating by heating in an inert environment at about 400 DEG -600 DEG C. The materials, particularly when supported on aluminous or siliceous supports, are useful as catalysts for simultaneously isomerizing and disproportionating olefins.
