PURPOSE:An engaging fitting in which a ferromagnetic projection projecting from both or either of metallic plates is attracted to another metallic plate or another projection with being free to be attracted and detached magnetically through a hole, wherein plating is performed for peripheral surface of a permanent magnet thereby saving a casing member at aseembly and reducing fabrication and assembly costs as well as excluding a gap of assembly, resulting in reduction of resulting or bulking feeling. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 1 has a hole 1a opened from a pole face toward another pole face and on a peripheral surface of the magnet 1 a plated film 6 is produced and laminated by various methods. Then it is intended that when a ferromagnetic metallic plate 2 is composed unitarily with the magnet 1, the plated film 6 is formed unitarily on the peripheral surface including the metallic plate 2. Such permanent magnet 1 is covered with the plated film 6 unifomly on its peripheral surface within the range that attracting power of the magnet is not reduced, thereby reinforcing brittleness against impact of the magnet, especially of a ferrite magnet or the like surely as well as improving a peculiar luster, good sense of touch and hardwaring properties of the surface. |
