PURPOSE:To attain a good cleaning capacity by providing a cleaning member, which can be taken into and out from an aperture part of a scraper member, to remove foreign matters such as flocculation of a developer, paper powder, etc. clogged a part near the scraper. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic developer remaining on a free end part 17a of a scraper member 17 passes an aperture 17c and is gathered by a magnet roll 12. Since the aperture 17c of the scraper member 17 is clogged with foreign matters such as the developer, flocculation, paper powder, etc. by the long-time use, the aperture 17c is cleaned by a cleaning brush 18. When a photosensitive drum 1 is rotated, power is supplied to a solenoid 19, and the cleaning brush 18 is moved to a position distant from the aperture 17c not to hinder the flow of the developer passing the aperture 17c. When the drum 1 is stopped, power supply to the solenoid 19 is cut off, and the front end part of the brush 18 is moved forward by the action of a spring incorporated in the solenoid and is inserted into the aperture 17c and is stopped. |
