PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the titled device by constituting the said device so that the first and the second developing devices are moved selectively by a moving means, and driven selectively by a driving means. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second developing devices 23, 24 are moved selectively by an arm (moving means) 36, and driven selectively by gears (driving means) 42-44. For instance, when the arm 36 is turned clockwise, the developing device 24 is pressed through a spring 39 by its lower end part, and the developing device 24 advances along a guide rail, and stops, when its pin 32 abuts on a V-groove 34 of a frame 35. In this case, the developing device 23 is drawn through a spring 38 and moved backward. Subsequently, a gear 41 of a revolving shaft 26a of a developing roller 26 of a developing device 2 is engaged with a gear 44 of a body frame 33 side. In this way, the roller 26 is rotated, a magnetic brush of, for instance, a black toner 30, which has been formed on its peripheral surface is slid and brought into contact with a photosensitive drum 2, and black development is executed. On the other hand, when the arm 36 is turned counterclockwise, for instance, red development can be executed by the developing device 23. |
