PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage drop at the time of heavy current discharge of a battery after its reservation and shorten the time of recovery of its discharge voltage, by blending an electrolyte with a halogenated organic silane compound represented by a prescribed formula. CONSTITUTION:The main constituent of an electrolyte is an oxyhalide of sulfur which is a positive active material. The oxyhalide is thionyl chloride, sulfuryl chloride or the like. The electrolyte may contain lithium tetrachloroaluminate or the like as an electrolyte constituent. The electrolyte is blended with a halogenated organic silane compound represented by a formula I. The quantity of the compound is 0.01-0.5mol to 1l of the electrolyte. As a result, the voltage drop at the time of heavy current discharge after long-period reservation at the room temperature or reservation at high temperature is reduced, and the time of recovery of discharge voltage is shortened. |
