PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition processable at a high temperature, free from discoloration with time and satisfying deodorizing function as well as other functions of base resin, by compounding a deodorizer consisting of aluminum sulfate, etc., wherein the sum of water of crystallization and free water is within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A stock thermoplastic resin is added with 0.5-900(wt)% fine powder (preferably <=30mum in diameter) of aluminum sulfate, potassium alum or sodium alum as a deodorizing agent wherein the sum of water of crystallization and free water is <=5% and the mixture is kneaded and/or molded. When the content of deodorizing agent in the molded resin article is 0.5-30%, an article having deodorizing performance as well as original functions of molded resin article can be produced. In the case of masterbatch, the deodorizing agent is compounded at an amount of 10-900% and preferably the surface of the particle is preliminarily coated with 1/5-10pts.wt. of a low-mol.wt. resin (having a mol.wt. of 1,500-60,000) based on 1pt. of deodorizing agent fine powder. |
