The three-dimensional material to prevent soil erosion and the like, and to stabilise plant growth, is non-rotting or biodegradable. It has a geotextile support to carry geotextile strips in decimetre dimensions, twisted at regular intervals between the bonding points at the support layer, to give a relief structure over the support.
